Catherine Winter is a writer, editor, and all-around wordsmith based in the wilds of rural Quebec, Canada.
After completing her studies in interdisciplinary arts at OCAD, she spent several years working as a copywriter and editor at non-profit organisations in Toronto before redirecting her focus towards permaculture gardening, herbalism, and food security for marginalized communities.
She currently divides her time between freelance writing and proofreading/editing, and cultivating a food forest garden on her rural property.

When she isn't scribbling or tending plants, Cate can be found wrestling with knitting projects, studying herbal and Ayurvedic medicine, or foraging in the woods nearby.
